Hello. I had arrived in the AM to Brussels on the train, only having one day there, leaving very early the next morning. I wanted to make the most of it. I stayed in a rather colorful hotel near the train station, and immediately realized that Brussels is a city where it is difficult to find addresses. I walked to the old part of the city, which is amazingly beautiful, filled my morning with chocolates and gawking at buildings, and I am almost embarrassed to say, a 5 euro visit to the chocolate museum (it really isnt as tacky as it sounds). Then, I set out to find this sauna. It took me over an hour of walking in circles to find it. No one, not even store keepers or police could tell me where the street was, even when I was one block away. And it was freezing cold/windy outside. There is quite a bit of rudeness/snobbishness in Brussels, especially from people who make their living off of tourism. I say, get a new job if your current job is causing you to be an asshole. The staff was friendly at the sauna, but I wish he had told me, and I'm sure he knew, that this wasnt the day to be there, that on Thursdays another sauna is very packed, and this one is nearly empty. There was one hotty chain smoking and chain drinking beer, who kept watching me. There probably werent more than 5 or 6 other guys in the place, which is a beautiful facility. There was an older man, who I played around with, he was quite masculine and cute for his age. He suggested that we leave together, in his auto, and go for a quick little tour of Brussels so that he could show me things he felt I must see even on a quick trip. He was a very sweet Flemish man, and we ended the afternoon by his dropping me at the door of another sauna that he assured me would be fantastic fun on that Thursday evening. He was right.
