The most cleanless sauna in EU. I went there a month ago and they gave me a very very dirty towel sprayed with an air-fresher deodorant.. It was discusting.the man who was in the reception (if we can call this thing man )was a pathetic old bitch fat and with stomach and breast as well whose breath was killing me and he wanted by all means to do something with me although i showed no interest at all.they had lack of slippers and had to wait a lil bit till the first available pair was ready for use without proper sterilization.the last and most unacceptable thing was that when i entered the jaccuzzi someone had already done his poe (shit....on the surface!!!!)and the dark room was full of condoms as well.on the other hand theres no need to comment the fact that the hallway from the one side of hamam-labyrinth to the other was too narrowed and had to be touched by old hairy and sticky men.i really have to admit that i have regreted having gone there.

1) Stop posting comments (especially those regarding Flex Gym, that are obvious that coming from people working there, it's a shame as it degrades sauna's quality). So I'll post some comments for Flex Gym at the appropriate place which has to do with Flex Gym.
2) As far as it concerns Alexander sauna it has recently been renovated, the owner of the place obviously tries to provide the best sertvices. So Alexander sauna now has 5 levels. At the ground floor there is a bar and a garden with sofas where you take your drink. The next level is the paid rooms level, with a private key, a locker, a flat tv with selection of gay porn movies or even normal tv channels. The next level is where most visitors would go first as there are the locker rooms, the showers, sauna and jacuzzi. The next level has been renovated. The rooms are much more better now, better and larger, making you wonder why you would want to pay extra for a paid room as the free ones are also good. There is a small room with a big TV screen with porno movies and a steam room. The steam room is closed every Friday and Saturday as at these days you may go to the next level which has a big steam labyrinth room which includes a bubble bath room plus a sauna.
3) The positives: Spacious place, younger crownd, it has more crows than other saunas as it is close to many other gay bar/ clubs/ cafe and it is definetely worth a visit.
4) The minus point could be that after the last renovation there is practically no dark room at that sauna.

Modern equipment, fantastic wet sauna, hot action in the darkroom and nice relaxing bar area with extra smoker section. Compare to other european sauna´s Alexander has a moderate price level. I give a minuspoint for only 6 cabinets (free of charge) when u wait in line on a busy afternoon or night. Go to athens and visit Alexander sauna, its a perfect combination for me.

The staff was completly out of space with no matters at all. I do not get why Fabry (if this name really excists) has these stupid and completely out of space opinions for Flex..maybe he is working for them or he is one of them like the other below me... My opinion is to visit both saunas if have lots of money to spend and after post your opinion here. And if you are lucky you might find yourself at one of Alexander sauna's parties like myself on new year's eve with lots of fun dj music and gogo boys.. I have to say that this is something that you will never find at Flex sauna no matter what they post just because there is no place to party (no bar nor lounge) or cruise At all(except if a dark room with a bed and sofa can be considered as a place to cruise for guys)..Thank you for reading this comment Theo

Alexander Sauna liegt im Stadtzentrum und ist gut zu erreichen. Vom Ormonia-Platz sind es 15 Minuten, von der Metro-Station "Kerameikos" etwa fünf Minuten zu Fuß.
Die Sauna erstreckt sich über fünf Etagen wobei das Dachgeschoß gesperrt war (Winter).
Die Sauna hat Saunafreudn unten ja schon super beschrieben, von daher habe ich nur ein paar Ergänzungen.
Naßbereich: Der gesamte Bereich ist sehr sauber und wird regelmäßig kontrolliert und gereinigt. Er befindet sich im 2. Stock zusammen mit den Schränken. Es gibt auf dieser Ebene eine Trockensauna, die ist im Vergleich zu anderen Saunen normalgroß. Das Besondere: In der Sauna gibt es kein Licht, sie wird nur durch Tür und Fenster beleuchtet. Auch seltsam, aber reizvoll: Hinter den Bänken gibt es einen sehr dunklen Stehbereich, wo öfter mal die Post abgeht. Wie das gesundheitlich mit der Hitze zusammenpasst, muß jeder für sich entscheiden ;-)
Neben der Sauna gibt es einen kleinen offenen Ruhebereich mit zwei Relaxliegen und einer Bank, daneben ein Jakuzzi. Temperatur und Beleuchtung lassen sich individuell regeln. Im Naßbereich hängt ein LCD-Fernseher, der von Pool, Ruhebereich und auch aus der Sauna heraus durch das Fenster gut zu sehen ist.
Highlight für mich sind auf dieser Etage die Duschen. Bestens von der Sauna aus zu erreichen, mitten im Raum, komplett verglast, ohne sichtbare Wasserleitungen, rundherum stehen die Schränke. Hört sich schräg an, ist aber super gestaltet.
Einen weiteren Naßbereich gibt es im dritten Stock. Hier ist gleich neben dem Kino noch eine kleinere Sauna (auch komplett dunkel) und das Dampfbad. Auch hier wird regelmäßig kontrolliert und gereinigt. Das Dampfbad roch angenehm nach Zitrone und hat auch am Morgen noch nicht streng gerochen. Im Dampfbad ist eine Dusche, zwischen den Doppeltüren zum Eingang noch eine und direkt neben dem Eingang eine dritte Dusche. Man muß also nicht wieder in den zweiten Stock zum Duschen. Beide Duschen sind ebenfalls voll verglast - hier hat sich jemand sowohl vom Design, als auch von der Lage her Gedanken gemacht. Einen Nachteil hat deas Dampfbad: Es ist ziemlich hell. Überall kleine Scheinwerfer, gefühlt war es außer an der Kasse in der ganzen Sauna nirgends so hell wie im Dampfbad.
Dark-Bereich: Der Dark/Ruhe-Bereich verfügt im ersten Stock über etwa 15 Mietkabinnen, die das gesamte Stockwerk einnehmen. Schade um den Platz, keine Kabine wurde an dem Abend genutzt. Im 3. Stock sind dann 5 oder 6 Kabinen for free, davon eine ohne Tür. Weiter hinten ist ein Glory-Hole (ziemlich dunkel) und ein Sling (viel zu hell) zu finden. Der Bereich um das Glory-Hole war ziemlich stark gefragt, passiert ist aber nicht viel.
Personal, Eintritt usw: Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Eintritt lag bei 15 Euro, incl. Kondom und einem Flyer in gleicher Größe mit Öffnungszeiten und Events. Als Erstbesucher gabs eine kleine Führung (Wo ist was, Badeschlappen aussuchen etc.) Die Getränkepreise in der Bar im Erdgeschoß sind angemessen. Ich hatte das Gefühl, gern gesehener Gast zu sein - liebe Frankfurter Saunabetreiber, sollte man sich mal anschauen...
Gäste: Das Publikum an diesem Samstag abend war einfach g**l. Auf allen Etagen war sehr viel los. Die ganze Zeit über kamen gefühlt genau so viele neue Gäste, wie gegangen sind. Von Adonis bis Bear, von 20-60 Jahren war alles vertreten, die meisten Besucher waren zwischen 30 und 45. Alle waren sehr unkompliziert, offen und freundlich. Angenehm: Bis auf ganz wenige Ausnahmen hat man ein "nein" verstanden und akzeptiert. Weniger schön: Ein "Only safe, please" traf teilweise auf Unverständnis. Ungewohnt für mich: In Sauna, Kino und Dampfbad bleibt das Handtuch um die Hüfte...
Insgesamt: Alexander Sauna hat für mich das gehalten, was die Website und die vorherigen Kommentare versprochen haben: Neue, moderne und durchdachte Lokation, weit über dem europäischen Standard. Es gibt freundliches Personal, sowie nette und unkomplizierte Gäste, mit denen man viel Spaß haben kann. Hier kann man auch etwas länger bleiben. Im nächsten Jahr werde ich öfter in Athen sein, ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Am Wochenende ist bis morgens 8 Uhr geöffnet und bis dahin ist auch was los. Die Strasse Iera Odos ist die Hauptstraße und die Megalou Alexandrou Strasse ist eine kleinere Querstraße zur Iera Odos. Kommt man aus Richtung Stadtzentrum, dann in Höhe der kleinen Tankstelle, rechts in die M. Alexandrou gehen, dann alsbald auf der linken Seite sieht man den Eingang, nicht zu übersehen, leicht zu finden. Im Eingangsbereich ist gleich rechts die Bar und gerade aus geht die Treppe in die erste Etage, dort sind Mietkabinen, Dusche, WC, eine weitere Treppe hoch führt in die 2. Etage, dort sind Spind, Schuhschrank (Badeschlappen zur Auswahl), der Nassbereich (Duschen, Whirlpool, Sauna) und nochmal eine Treppe hoch, oberste Etage, dort sind 5 abschließbare Kabinen/Ruheräume, 1 Sling und eine dunkle Ecke/Gang, sowie nochmal eine kleine Trockensauna und Dampfbad. Alle die ich in der Sauna getroffen habe (inkl. gesamtes Personal) waren ausgesprochen nett, hilfsbereit, freundlich, unkompliziert. War schön. Ich gehe wieder hin. Alles absolut normaler europäischer Standard, z.T. sogar besser. Die andere Sauna, Flex, ist nichts Besonderes (siehe Kommentar dort). Athens Relax habe ich erst gar nicht gesucht.

Especially, every Thursday with the Young Day that there are a lot of young and handsome guys with 12 euros entrance. The staff was very polite and helpful..
