I was in Den Haag many years ago. To me Fides was a haven whwere I could escape into. Many years have passed. I was there in 1997. Haven't returned to Netherlands since 2000. So no idea about it's present condition. But in those days it was run by two very friendly and gentle guys. Paul and I an sorry I forgot the name of his partner. They made you feel very welcome. I was young those days and I did not have the attitude"Ugh..older guys". I pity the guys with such attitudes as they are really going to be miserable when they age. I am as comfortable with my current age as I was at 18. I met a lot o good men in Fides.Unfortunately, I was not very active funually as I am from India and had my own share of taboos which I carry with me. But yet going to Fides for me was always a great experience because of thw warmth of the hosts as well as the men who came there. I have spent many pleasant hours chatting to guys of various ages, sizes and shapes and most of them understood my need for companionship rather than casual fun.I wish I could go back for a visit.Hopefully, someday I will....
