I went to sauna Heaven in Warsaw Saturday 19 February 2011 around 6 p.m. Easy to find - walking distance from Palace of Culture and Science.
Its really upscale place. Very, very clean and nice. Vey friendly staff and low prices. You can drink and eat (basic food) there.
The owners and management makes an effort to maintain it that way. The entry fee was PLN 23,- plus PLN 3,- for slippers. The place is big enough to hoist many guys. When I was there it was getting busy between 7 and 9 p.m. I had to leave around 9 but I was back before midnight (the sauna is open 24/7 during the weekend) and there were still guys, not that many though. The nice thing about this sauna is that you can come back same day/night not paying again. Keep your receipts guys!
It started getting crowded again around 4 a.m. when guys were coming back from other clubs for after party or just relax in sauna after clubbing. The crowd was mixed - from young skinny guys thru very nice guys in their late twenties (majority of guys I would say) to few in their 50s.
The steam room itself was very clean and big - I was bit too dark for me though. There are few cabins and darkrooms - all clean and NOT smelly at all which is rare in Poland.
I was told that sauna managers offers various way of saving money for regular customers (each sixth entry - free) and they organise theme parties (sneakers, naked, swim trunks, etc.) and special deals for couples (Valentines , etc.)
Overall - the best sauna I
