Located neer the corner of a nice square but indeed no sign, no flag, nothing ... Only a doorbell with the name 'Friedland'.
I was there 3 times. During the week in late afternoon : no action, on a saturday evening, 10 or 12 people and on monday around 10pm : 6 people or so. Boring, smelly, quite large.
12 euro is the entrance and you get one towel and two condoms. Ask for your receipt, because then you can enter a second time at the price of only 5 euro! So it's less painful to go home with unfulfilled funual feelings
It are certainly not the saunas that make Lisbon interesting for gay tourists.

Ich war in der Nacht von Samstag, den 24.10. auf Sonntag, den 25.10.2009 in der Sprtacus Sauna in Lissabon. Sie ist zwar schwierig zu finden, da kein offizieller Hinweis auf eine GAY-Sauna bzw. auf den Namen hinweist. Auf der Türklingel steht schlicht: Feldmann. Es waren viele nette Jungens da und ich hatte echt guten SEX mit einem wunderschönen Lissaboner. War bisher dreimal in der Viriato - und bin nun wegen der Größe und der Ausstattung ein FAN von der Spartacus geworden. Ich finde diese SAUNA klasse. Freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch in Lissabon.

No sign of the sauna at the door, you just have to enter the house and go upstairs to the first floor. Fee 12 €. Condoms and lube are provided with the towel. Sauna on 4 floors, but just the basement and the roof top (3 floor) are large. A little run down but always action, even on weekdays(we were there in february). Hot and wet sauna, jacuzzi, darkroom and cabins in the basement, TV-room with a mirror in front and cabins in the 1.floor and a (smelly) hot sauna and another darkroom with cabins in the 2 floor. But the best is the audience: mixed ages, all types and not so much attitude. Def. our favourite in Lisbon.

I have been in many saunas in Europe but I´ve never
been in a such dirty place. You lost yourself in a big cold unclean place without no people.
All look like abandon. NO action. we were 5 people
there ( something like a scary movie..)
I paid 12 Euro for nothing. Do not go there, don´t
loose your time!

I went last evening to spartacus. not easy to find, there is a bell with a name "friedman" ring and they open the door.
After that a huge moment, no comment!! unpleasant staff, dirty place, smell bad, that s horrible, the only one thing that you can catch here is a deasease, athlet foot, or something else.
Never again

I visited Spartacus in october, my first time in a sauna. I found the staff to be very nice, the place was kind of empty: like 5 guys, it was like 5pm of a weekday but some were hot. 12 euros for a locker, towel, and a fun bundle of a government agency including a condom and lube. The place seems clean. The entrance is a bit hidden, there's not such thing as the name of the sauna or even a "sauna" sign but once you stand in front of the door they open it for you. Have fun guys and please be safe

I have been there and it is a nightmare. NO boys from Brazil or Cape Verde as someone "promised" below. On the contrary, it is very dirty and falling apart. Do not use the jacuzzi or it can be that you will get skin diseases. Beware of old men in the darkroom. Go to Sauna Sertorio instead. It is clean and Safe

Ich bin öfters in Lisboa (ca. alle 2 Monate) ich kenne bis auf die in der rua salitre alle Saunen, ich finde die beste für Fun ist die Spartacus, ok nicht die sauberste und die Duschköpfe gehören mal entkalt, hatte aber immer geile typen, je später am abend desto besser *g* liebe grüsse peter
