I was in Chaing Main in april 2008 and went to the House of male on a thuesday evening. As tue and Thursdays are buddynights (2 thais get entry for the price of one) it was pretty busy at sunset. easy to make friends with thai guys there. Nice outdoor pool and bar on groud floor with some gym equipment where you can watch some cute thais do some excersise.
Upstairs youll find a darker area wher you can relax or go into some dark cabins in the back wher you could have some fun with your new thai friend 
i recommend going there on buddy night.
